KTM produces a truly amazing array of upper leathers for the footwear market, both in Cow and River Bison (our local species of dairy Buffalo). Due to the character of our local Cow hides, the leather has a very tight and fine grain, quite calf-like in appearance. Thus it is most suitable for women’s and men’s dress shoes in both finished and burnishable effects. In medium substances, we produce a wide range of soft and mellow articles for casual shoes; and in heavier substances we take particular pride in our production of drum-dyed Nubuck that has an extremely fine nap due to the tightness of the grain, and a full range of smooth and hot-stuffed leathers for many kinds of boots.
In River Bison, we primarily focus our production on heavier weight articles in a wide range of American Lifestyle leathers, using hot-stuffing in the drum technology, together with various oil and wax and crunch effects. All of these leathers being suitable for a wide range of work, tactical and Western boots.
